Sit outside in summer, cozy inside in winter. Large restaurant with very nice service. Offer home-brewed beer, which is very tasty. The food is great too !! We like to go there, the live performances are especially nice, every Thursday! We hope the brewery opens again soon !?

It was great again. Only the point that this restaurant was unfortunately also a victim of Corona. Therefore shortened map (see pictures). Would visit again and again anyway.

If you go for a walk, in Rostock's city forest or come out of the zoo, it would be fatal not to stop here. Good self-made beer, hearty food or just a cup of coffee and a piece of cake to strengthen yourself and you can go on. There is also the possibility of stopping off with larger groups.

Large, spacious restaurant with rustic furnishings. Relatively small menu, food is okay. The beer there is very good, it is brewed and also served there. It can also be bought in large bottles to take away. It is close to the zoo and in a recreational area of ​​Rostock.

Trotzenburg has been our favorite restaurant since we've lived in Rostock. It's cozy, the waiters are always polite and nice. Now we were there with several people for the first time to celebrate our graduation. Every single table was occupied when we arrived (we had made a reservation) and still we got our food within 25 minutes. I think it really doesn't get any faster. It also tasted great. In short: we are very satisfied. At this point, thank you again to Anett, our waitress on Saturday :)

Solid brewery kitchen and delicious beers. The food was down to earth, large portions at fair prices. The home brewed beers were all delicious! I would come back for the beers.

There is a star for the drinks. However, we cannot recommend the food. The Hamburger Schnitzel and the French fries only tasted like deep fryer. The cards are a loveless hodgepodge ... even in Corona times you can certainly do it better. There is no recommendation from our side.

Yesterday we visited the brewery. The friendliness and the service of the staff was really very good. The only thing to complain about was the food. I had the pikeperch fillet and after waiting almost an hour for it we found that the portion was very small. Half the plate was garnished with lettuce. However, I did not order a salad plate. Well, it tasted good, but the portions were a joke. I will probably not visit this restaurant again.

A huge restaurant. Lots of space and space and yet we were served quickly and friendly. There is solid German cuisine here. Nothing special, but well crafted. The ribs were well done and fell off the bones, the marinade was saved a little. The turkey steak was okay and so was the baked potato, but the garlic sauce didn't work very well with it. On the other hand, the beer was very tasty and from our own brewery.

The shop didn't even deserve a star. The food from the store can taste good because the kitchen makes it great. But in terms of service, an absolute no go. Annoyed staff that only complains to the other side and the hygienic conditions due to Corona are not exactly given. Tables are dirty and food is touched with bare hands. I'm sorry but no further recommendation on my part.

A must for every beer connoisseur and patron. Tried the freshly brewed beers completely once and was still enthusiastic after two days. Very tasty rustic fare and a friendly chat with the waitress. The beer was so good that I bought a couple of 1L bottles to take away. Very good!

Good restaurant with home-brewed beer, very good food, moderate prices and nice staff. Reservation must be a matter of course. I have no idea whether it is due to Corona and the busy house that there was a reduced, but completely sufficient menu today. In the fully occupied house, however, there can be no comfort due to the volume. Unfortunately there is not enough parking space in front of the house. But definitely worth a planned visit!

Delicious, home-style food. We made a reservation in advance for 8 people with a dog, but then decided to sit outside. Reservations are only offered for indoor use. Our service on Sunday evening was neutral, not too slow, but also not particularly fast or particularly friendly. The dishes were absolutely sufficient and delicious without any complaints. Food was delicious and the portions were more than ample. Unfortunately, it didn't work out to the kitchen that I would have preferred fried potatoes instead of the fries. I would like to positively mention that I was offered to pack my "leftovers" and take them with me !!!!!! :-)

What a great place, with a friendly owner and staff and great beer made to the famous Germany quality standard. Grab some beer and sit in the outdoor garden if you can.

We've never had a bad experience at Brauhaus Trotzenburg. Whether you're taking public transportation or driving, the restaurant is easy to reach. The large umbrellas make sitting outside in the summer a comfortable experience, and their selection of self-brewed beer is both satisfying and refreshing. The food is delicious, reasonably priced, and the portions are generous. I can't attest to the English language proficiency of the staff, however.

Nice place to drink a beer. Nice prices. 1 L = 7 €. I think it is not bad. Plus taste of beer was good.

It's an ample location with a rustic charm. Solid dishes are served. Location is known for it's beer but you can't get every type anytime. Service is literally not available. Aspect a long time waiting on dishes and drinks.

We wanted to have a late lunch but they didn't serve food between 2-4 pm. Beer was good but we left hungry. Large place right next to a zoo.
